Excerpt (Kayla’s Flashback)
Kayla, your brothers are watching you while your dad and I attend this banquet dinner. Your sisters are at Aunt Lucy‟s for the weekend. Keep an eye on things, please. All the boys are together, you know how messy that can get. Jake and Carson should be calling to let us know when they will be home. Can you please write the message down and leave it on the fridge?” my mom said to me.
Jane Williams was a beautiful woman. Many say she could pass for a model even now. I could remember hearing several of my brothers‟ friends saying those words when they met our mom for the first time.
“Yes, ma‟am.” I said rolling my eyes. Nothing I hated more than being told how to do the obvious things. I knew how to answer the phone and take a message, as well as where to put it.
“You‟re sure you don‟t want to go to Aunt Lucy‟s? We could drop you off on our way.”
“Yes, mom. I would rather stay here. I have a project to work on anyway.”
I didn‟t like going to Aunt Lucy‟s. She was a little out there in an odd way, and I much preferred to stay at home when my sisters went over there. They did all the girlie things; I was happier just getting muddy and climbing trees.
“Okay, love you guys! Behave yourselves, boys, and keep an eye on your siste,r please,” Jane yelled as she headed out the door on my father‟s arm.
“Eli, do you have some time to help me with a school project?”
I loved all my siblings, but I had bonded most with Elijah and Jake. They were overprotective but I still loved them.
“Can we work on it tomorrow, Kay? We‟re going to have some friends over and play some pool.”
I forced a smile, trying hard to hide my disappointment at not being able to spend time with my brothers, who were home on break
“Sure,” I said. “I will stay in my room and out of the way.” He hugged me and I headed to my room.
My room was simple. I had a daybed up against one wall. Across from the bed was a built-in entertainment center with shelves for all my favorite books and movies. There was a built-in desk at the far end of my room, and a walk in closet that had more than enough room for all my clothes and shoes. I even had my own bathroom. It wasn‟t huge, but it was big enough for a bathtub/shower, a sink with vanity, and a toilet. I didn‟t have to share it with my brothers or sisters, and that was all I cared about. There was nothing about my room that screamed „girlie;‟ the walls were beige and the carpet was white. The linens were lilac, as were the curtains. I loved my room; it was peaceful, relaxing, and easy to stay focused on my studies. I sat down at my desk and started working on my homework assignment.
Music started playing loudly from downstairs. I slowly made my way to the top of the grand staircase. When I got to the banister, I saw a room full of people. My brothers were hamming it up big time for the girls there. I sighed heavily and shook my head at my brothers‟ actions. Judging by the amount of people and their laughter and music, I knew it was going to be loud for a while. So I made my way back to my room, turned on the radio, put my headphones on and went back to work on the project.
A few hours later, it was late and I was tired, so I decided to call it a night. The music was still going downstairs, so I knew the only way I was going to get any sleep was if I switched to my wireless headphones and wore them to bed. After changing for bed and brushing my teeth, I crawled in bed and fell asleep in no time.
Unsure of how long I was sleeping when my bedroom light came on. I sat up and tried to get my eyes to adjust to the light. Through the blur I thought I saw my brother in the doorway.
“Jeez, Nick! I was sleeping, you know?”
I rubbed my eyes, and when I looked back the door was being locked. It was not my brother after all. Instead it was a man about the height of my brother, with a buzzed head and average frame, though it was apparent that he worked out. He wore a tank top with a vest over it, revealing several tattoos lining his arms and neck. His jeans were baggy and sagged from his waist. He had three piercings - two silver hoops in his ears that that caught the light from my room when he walked, and the other in his lip. He moved closer to me, and I noticed that his eyes were dark - almost black. He walked with the confidence that he owned the world and had a smile on his face that sent chills down my spine.
“Umm, you need to leave my room,” I said, trying to keep the fear from my voice.
“My name is Alex. I am a friend of your brother, Carson. I take it he is not coming home tonight?” His voice was low and had a menacing tone as he spoke.....

Excerpt (Jason’s POV)
I was just walking up to the front of the house when I froze in my spot. Staring at the sight before me, I watched as a woman came running from the house. Her long, brown, curly hair was flying like silk in the wind behind her as she ran. It was like watching her in slow motion.
She was breathtaking. She had perfect opulent curves, not pencil thin like most women these days think they need to be. As she ran, her perfect size breasts were bouncing along. Just looking at her was making my cock stir in my pants. I watched as she made her way down the steps trying to get her shoes off. She was down on the walk, struggling with her other shoe when she started to fall. I ran in to catch her. Her hair fell into her face as I cradled her in my arms.
For the first time in a long time, as I held this woman in my arms, I had a feeling of peace come over me. Something about this woman called to me. She wasn‟t the normal type that I took to bed when I was frustrated. She was different. I can‟t put my finger on why, but I wanted to get to know her better; a lot better. She wiggled and her breasts rubbed against my chest and I had to bite back a groan. I knew it had been a while since I had been with a woman but this was ridiculous. No woman has ever affected me like this one. Instead of making me want to run away, I wanted to get closer.
Jeez, you fucking pervert!

About the Author
Hey Y'all! PJ here. You want to know a little about me. Well I live in Indiana with my husband of ten years, our three kids, and two dogs.  I love writing and reading in any spare time that I have.  I have been writing for as long back as I can remember, but I put it aside for a while. There are many reasons I did that but mostly it just wasn't time for me to really push it, I think. My oldest son is an inspiration. He is autistic and the view he has on life is astounding. He doesn't let the bullies or negative reaction to him slow him down. My daughter loves to read just like her mama and my youngest son is a complete copy of his father it's scary LOL. My family has gone from one extreme to another weather wise. We lived in Alaska to move to Georgia. Big weather difference. Each day I view as a blessing. Make your dreams come true today because none of us are promised tomorrow. Hugs to all and many blessings.

Indie Author with my first Romance novel, Charity's Warrior, and now the second in the series, Charity’s Secrets, publishing on Amazon Kindle, Creatspace, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords.

I'm very passionate about writing stories full of love, lust, eroticism, and strong characters entwined around each other in an interesting, suspenseful journey.

East coast born and raised, I'm married, extremely happily, with 4 kids, 3 of which are now young adults (not sure when that happened).

I’m a COO in my technology-based "day job,” which requires a mix of technical and creative writing for both internal and client-facing materials, but it was not satisfying my artistic spirit. Writing the “Charity” series has been absolutely fulfilling and exciting.

My favorite writing takes place on my phone while lying on the Southernmost Beach in Key West, where I try to go at least twice a year.

Bonus Story Teaser from Reclining Nude in Chicago...

Meet Chloe...

Sally, my hairdresser and makeup artist, brought me back reality.  “Who is he?  You’ve got it bad for this one!”  She had no idea and I didn’t care to expound on his deliciousness as I pointed to my stark face in need of glamorization.  “Yea. Yea.  I’m getting there,” she said shaking her head at me as she began painting on my stage makeup and attaching extremely long faux eyelashes.
Once she finished my transformation, I rolled sheer black, thigh high nylons up my long dancer legs and attached them to a black lace bustier with garters red bows at the top.  Leaning forward I pulled the girls up.  They sat high and proud on either side of another delicate red bow between two extremely sheer lace underwire cups.  There was no hiding the nipples in this slinky number.  What did I expect when I took this burlesque gig in a swanky exclusive invitation, members only intimate club?  I had hoped to be wearing elegant evening gowns while belting out old standards and pop songs.  That vision was dashed quickly.   When they fitted me for “costumes” and I gazed about the dressing room to see feathers, silks, leathers and lace, I knew I would be scantily clad while performing on their stage.

Hearing my musical cue, I sauntered out through the opening of plush drapery to be placed on a white grand piano by two tall, muscular men dressed in leathers.  This was the ritual for me on Friday and Saturday nights every other weekend.  The place was spectacular… stunning décor dripped from all aspect of the establishment.  Antiqued mirrors were on all walls and along the front of the bar; giving the appearance of a never-ending space.  Between the bar and the stage, lush purple velvet diamond tufted sofas accented with midnight blue, turquoise and magenta pillows were scattered about with low white onyx tables.  Immediately surrounding the stage were raised deeper purple booths with the same onyx tables.  All of the surfaces that weren’t mirrored were white and the glowing pink lighting made the club warm, inviting and extremely sexy.  I was in awe every time I stepped out and saw the massive floral arrangements and crystal chandeliers that were the crowning jewels.  I instantly forgot where I was and what I was wearing.  Smoke, mirrors and magic… an illusion.

Shelter You by Alice Montalvo-Tribue Blog Tour & Giveaway 01/20/14 @AMTribue

                                Title: Shelter You

                                Author: Alice Montalvo-Tribue

                                Release Date : January 14, 2014

Hosted by: Love Between the Sheets Promotions

             Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18754663-shelter-you?ac=1

SYNOPSIS:

She's mine.

That was my first thought when I held my baby in my arms at seventeen. I didn't

care that I'd already promised to give her to a wealthy family.

She is mine.

I ran away from that hospital, from that family, from the very life I knew. My plan

was to start my life over with what little money I (have/had?), determined to make

something of myself despite the odds.

Then Logan Tate entered my life.

Gorgeous and controlling, he claimed he was trying to help me, and that he didn't

care that I was another teenage pregnancy story.

But I don't trust him. I don't trust anyone. And if Logan knew the real secrets and

lies I was keeping inside, he wouldn't dare try to shelter me.
EXCERPT:

A gentle rapping on my door pulls me from my thoughts. I lift my head just in time to

see Logan slowly opening my door and peeking his head in.

“Hey.”

“Hey,” I reply, inwardly praying that he’ll just take pity on me and go away. Let me

wallow in my misery and self-hate all alone.

“Can I come in?”

What am I supposed to say? No Logan, you can’t come into a bedroom in the house

that you own? A bedroom that you’re letting me use for free?

I let out a sigh and push up onto my elbows so that I can get a better look at him. “Of

course you can come in. It’s your house.”

He crosses the room in a few quick steps and before I can question or protest he’s

hopping up on the bed and lying down next to me on top of the covers.

My eyes go wide with surprise. “What are you doing?”

He brings his arms up and places his hands behind his head, using them as a pillow.

“Relaxing for a minute it’s been a long day.”

“You have your own room to relax in, don’t you?”

“Yeah,” he replies, turning his head to the side so that he can look at me, “but I

wanted to talk to you. This kills two birds with one stone.”

I know Logan enough to know that he’s not going anywhere until he gets his way so

I do the only thing I can do. I let out a huff and roll my eyes. “Fine, talk.”

“Do you want to tell me what happened downstairs?” There’s no anger in his voice,

no reproach in his tone. He’s cool, calm and collected; right now I envy his ability to

remain level headed.

“I… I don’t know, I just thought that maybe… I…”

“What?”

I bury my head in the pillow and muffle out an answer. “I thought that maybe you

wanted me to kiss you.”

“You’re wrong.”

Oh my God, if ever there was a time I’d like for the floor to open up and swallow me

whole this is it. This is by far the most humiliating moment of my life. “Yeah, I got

that.” I croak out.

He slips his hand between the pillow and my face and tugs at my chin, forcing me

to look up at him. “I didn’t want you to kiss me because I wanted to be the one who

kissed you, and I would’ve but you beat me to it, and I liked it. I wanted it.”

LOGAN'S POV:

I pull up a chair next to Mia at the dinner table, surprised that she went through the trouble of cooking

at all. She’s a guest here, the last thing I expected her to do was make me dinner. We barely speak as

we eat and the silence feels deafening to me, it’s uncomfortable and makes me want to crawl out of my

skin.

“How was work?” I finally ask her to try and bridge the gap between us. I called in a favor from my

sister’s best friend Sarah to get her a job at the daycare and I only hope that she likes it enough to stay.

She takes a sip of her soda before she looks up at me and shrugs. “It was okay.”

She stands up, picks up both empty plates and walks them over to the sink. I can hear the water begin to

run as she continues. “I think Sarah was kind of shocked that I was driving your car. She was even more

stunned by the fact that I’m staying here.”

She’s poking around for information, asking a question without really asking and I have to admit I’m glad

that she’s questioning. The fact that she’s wondering about the nature of my relationship with Sarah

means that she cares about me maybe even feels something for me but doesn’t want to admit it. I can’t

explain the need that comes over me, to get closer to her, to make her understand that even though I

haven’t spoken the words she’s going to be mine.

I pick up the empty glasses from the table and make my way over to the sink caging Mia in with my

body; I reach over her to put them in the sink using the motion to get even closer to her. The sound of

her breath catching in her lungs tells me that I’m dead on; she wants me just as badly as I want her. It’s

all the confirmation that I need, I let my hand barely graze her hip and gently touch her ear with my lips.

“Mia,” I say barely above a whisper. “Sarah is my sister’s best friend, she’s my friend, there’s nothing

between us.”

I say the words hoping that they’re enough to reassure her of my intentions. She shrugs my explanation

off pretending that my explanation means nothing.

“It’s really none of my business.” She says, her words causing an immediate grin to form on my lips.

I reach over her again shutting the water off and dislodging the soaked sponge from her hand. I tighten

my grip on her and force her to turn around so that she has no choice but to look up at me. God I’m an

asshole for pushing her this far but I can’t back down now, she needs to know where this is going, the

sooner the better.

“So you wouldn’t care if I told you that I did have relationship with Sarah?” Again I’m an asshole but my

chest swells when I see her flinch.

“Why would I care Logan?” She asks lowering her gaze so that she’s staring at the wall of my chest.

“Look at me Mia.” I command, needing to see the depth of emotions swimming around her eyes.

“Did you?” She asks barely audibly.

“Did I what?” I know what she’s asking but I need her to say the words, need to drag her out of her shell.

She lets out a huff of air but ultimately asks, “Did you have a relationship with Sarah? Did you sleep with

her?”

A smile breaks out on my face, and I must look like a wolf in sheep’s clothing to her but I can’t help it, I

pull at an unruly strand of her hair and gently push it behind her ear. It’s my sad attempt at keeping us

connected.

“No. I never had a relationship with Sarah; I’ve never slept with her.”

I see the relief flash across her delicate features as I let my hand stroke her cheek. I’m surprised when

she leans into my hand, encouraging me to continue but I’m completely stunned when my sheltered girl

actually pushes off of the counter and kisses me. That’s all it takes, one kiss is my undoing, one kiss is all

it takes to seal her fate, whether she realizes it or not Mia now belongs to me.
